Dental implants

Replaces a missing tooth with a titanium root and a fixed crown.

Short answer

A dental implant is an artificial titanium root placed in the bone to support a crown, a bridge or a denture. At Confidental Studio, implants are planned with 3D X-rays and done under local anesthesia, with sedation if the case requires it. The bone usually takes 3 to 9 months to integrate it.

Why replace a missing tooth

Leaving a gap is not just a cosmetic issue. Over time, neighboring teeth can shift, the force of your bite can change, and you may develop discomfort in the jaw joint or in the neck and facial muscles, or headaches.

Who is a good candidate

Most healthy adults can get an implant. Gum disease must be treated first and the available bone evaluated. Uncontrolled diabetes, smoking, vaping and poor hygiene increase the risk or may rule out an implant.

How it works

  1. Clinical evaluation and 3D X-ray to measure the bone and nearby structures.
  2. Implant placement in the bone under local anesthesia, with sedation if needed.
  3. Healing: the bone bonds to the implant (osseointegration).
  4. Placement of the abutment and the final crown.
  5. Regular checkups and strict hygiene so the implant lasts.

Frequently asked questions

Does getting an implant hurt?

The surgery is done under local anesthesia and, if needed, sedation, to avoid pain during the procedure. Some discomfort for a few days afterward is normal; we’ll tell you how to manage it.

How long does the full treatment take?

It depends on the case. The implant usually takes 3 to 9 months to bond with the bone, and if a bone graft is needed, the timeline can be longer.

Can I get an implant if I’m coming from another country?

Yes, but at least two stages are needed: the surgery and, months later, the crown. We plan it with you before you buy your ticket.
