Short answer
A hybrid implant prosthesis is a fixed denture, not removable, screwed onto several implants to replace a full or partial arch. At Confidental Studio it is made with an internal CAD/CAM milled titanium bar and an aesthetic zirconia restoration, planned with a 3D CT scan and digital design.
Who it is for
People who have lost all or nearly all teeth in an arch, or who wear a removable denture and want a fixed solution. As with any implant, bone must be assessed and gum disease treated first.
Fixed vs. removable
| Hybrid prosthesis | Removable denture | |
|---|---|---|
| Comes out | No, only the dentist removes it | Yes, daily |
| Support | Implants in the bone | Gums and palate |
| Chewing | Close to natural teeth | More limited |
| Requires | Implant surgery | No surgery |
How it works
- Assessment and 3D CT scan.
- Digital design of the smile and implant plan.
- Implant placement.
- Healing and integration into the bone.
- Fabrication of the titanium bar and zirconia, try-in and placement.
- Check-ups and cleaning under the prosthesis.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take it out at home?
No. It is screwed onto the implants and only the dentist removes it for check-ups and professional cleanings.
How long does it take?
It depends on the case: it includes surgery, implant integration into the bone, which usually takes 3 to 9 months, and fabrication of the prosthesis.
